Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains cancellations and refunds for ClassRoots, operated by Aadyash Technologies Private Limited. There are two separate kinds of payment, and they are handled differently:
- Subscription — what a school pays us to use the ClassRoots platform.
- School fees & wallet — what a parent pays through the platform towards their child's school.
1. School subscription — cancellation: A school can cancel its ClassRoots subscription at any time from the school portal or by emailing support@classroots.ai. On cancellation, the subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed after that. Monthly plans are not pro-rated for the unused part of the month.
2. School subscription — refunds: We want schools to be happy with ClassRoots. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or experienced a genuine technical failure that prevented use, email us within 7 days of the charge and we will investigate and refund where appropriate. Approved subscription refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–7 business days via our payment partner (Razorpay).
3. School fees paid by parents: Fees a parent pays through ClassRoots are collected towards the school, not retained by us as our revenue. Whether a fee can be refunded or cancelled (for example, withdrawal, duplicate fee, or wrong amount) is decided by the school's own fee policy. Please raise fee refund requests with your school first. We will support the school in processing any approved reversal through the payment gateway.
4. Wallet top-ups: Where the app offers a wallet, top-ups are meant to be spent on the school's fees and charges. Unused wallet balance can be refunded to the original payment method on request to the school or to support@classroots.ai, subject to the school confirming there are no dues against it.
5. Failed or duplicate payments: If money was deducted but the payment shows as failed, or you were charged twice for the same item, it is usually auto-reversed by the bank/gateway within 5–7 business days. If it isn't, contact us with the payment reference and we will trace and reverse it.
6. How to request a refund: Email support@classroots.ai with the registered school / parent name, the date and amount, and the payment reference (from your receipt or bank statement). We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve eligible requests within 5–7 business days.
